Terms of Service for Customers
Version 2026-09-23. Effective 2026-09-23.
Earlier versions are listed on the document versions page.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are a contract between you and Stampomat, operated by Daniel Ilievski, Ljubljana, Slovenia, SI ("Stampomat", "we", "us"). Company registration: pending. Email: hello@stampomat.com. Full provider details are on the legal information page.
They apply when you use Stampomat as a customer: the wallet at stampomat.com/app, a membership pass you open from a personal link, a join link from a shop or organisation, the page that opens when you scan a shop's code or a sale slip, and the page where you link your wallet to a shop's website. Together we call these "the wallet".
If you run a shop or an organisation on Stampomat, the Terms of Service for Businesses apply to that use. If you are a benefit partner named by an organisation, the Partner Terms apply.
The wallet is free for you. You never pay us anything. The shops and organisations pay for the platform.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your personal data. It is not part of this contract, but these terms point to it where the two meet.
2. How you accept these terms, and who may use the wallet
You accept these terms when you sign in for the first time. The sign-in screen links the full text of these terms and the Privacy Policy, states that you are at least 16, and has one button. Pressing it and completing Google sign-in concludes the contract. You can go back at any point before you press the button. There is no other step. A later version of these terms never brings this screen back or asks you to accept again; you see it only when you sign in, and section 21 explains how a change reaches you instead.
We record which version you accepted, in which language, on which screen and when. That record is our evidence that the contract exists. Once your account is deleted the record is kept without your name.
You can read, save and print every version of these terms from the document versions page. These terms are offered in English, Macedonian, Slovenian and German. If a translation differs from the English text, the version in your language prevails for you as a consumer.
The wallet is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old to use it. If we learn that a younger person has an account, we close it and delete the data.
We do not follow any code of conduct. The contract has no minimum duration: it runs until you or we end it under section 20.
3. What Stampomat is
Stampomat is a digital loyalty wallet. Shops and organisations ("businesses") run their programmes on it, and your cards from all of them live in one place. There are three kinds of programme:
- Stamps. You collect stamps at a shop and earn the rewards the shop promised (section 5).
- Points. You earn points on what you spend at a shop and use them in that shop (section 6).
- Memberships. An organisation issues you a membership pass with attendance, levels and benefits (section 9).
Every programme is designed by the business that runs it. The business decides what you earn, what a reward is and when it expires. We run the platform, keep the records and keep them secure. When you earn a reward, the business owes it to you. We are the record keeper.
4. Your account
You sign in with your Google account. Google tells us your name and email address; we never see your Google password. Keep your Google account secure: anyone signed in as you can use your stamps, points and rewards.
One person, one account. The fair play rules in section 15 exist because stamps and points are worth something at the counter.
An organisation can create your membership before you ever sign in, from the name and email address you gave it. When that happens, the invitation email tells you which organisation gave us your details, that Stampomat runs the pass, and how to be removed. Your record becomes a full wallet account the first time you sign in.
You can change the wallet's language in the app. Your name comes from Google; if it is wrong, change it there or ask us to correct it.
5. Stamps
You collect a stamp by scanning the shop's QR code or typing the short code shown at the counter. The shop sets how many stamps a reward takes and what the reward is (in one or more tiers), how long you must wait between stamps, and whether rewards expire and when. The card in your wallet shows these rules.
Head start. A shop can give you a few stamps as a welcome gift when you join. The gift is always fewer than the stamps needed for the first reward, and is given once per shop. It is a gift: it can be taken back only if you obtained it by breaking section 15.
Rewards. When your stamps reach a tier, the app gives you a reward code to show at the counter, and the shop hands over the reward. Stamps and rewards have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred or sold, and they work only at the shop that issued them.
Expiry. If a shop's rewards expire, the wallet shows the date on each reward. We email you a reminder before a reward expires unless you have unsubscribed from engagement email (section 13). The expiry applies whether or not you received the reminder.
6. Points
At a shop in points mode you earn points on what you spend. The shop sets the rate, for example 2 percent of the purchase amount. Points are whole numbers, rounded to the nearest, so a very small purchase can earn nothing. When you pay, the counter gives you a slip with a code, and scanning it puts the points on your card (section 8). The shop can change its rate, but only for future purchases: points already credited stay credited, and a slip already printed pays the points printed on it.
You use points in two ways:
- Catalogue rewards. The shop lists items you can get for a set number of points.
- Shop credit. Where the shop offers it, you use points against a purchase. One point is one unit of the shop's currency. Choose an amount at or below what you are about to spend: no change is given, in cash or in points, and a code cannot be split. The app shows shop credit as cash-back, and it is never paid out in cash.
You redeem from your card in the app, which gives you a code to show at the counter, or directly at the counter: you show the code on your card, the staff scan it and redeem the reward or the credit amount you agreed. Presenting your card's code lets the shop take points, so show it only to staff of that shop and only for what you agreed. Your card then shows what was taken, your new balance and a history of every change.
Credit codes and catalogue rewards expire under the shop's expiry rule, and the wallet shows the date on each one. If a credit code or catalogue reward expires unused, the points you spent on it come back to you automatically.
Points are not money. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, transferred or sold, and can be used only at the shop that issued them.
7. Groups share one balance
A group is up to seven people who share one balance at each shop. Groups are optional, and only shops that have switched them on have them at all.
- Joining a group moves your points into it. The points you have already collected at every participating shop become the group's points on the day you join. From then on anyone in the group can spend them, and they do not need to ask you first. If a shop turns groups on after you have joined, your balance at that shop moves into the group at that point too.
- Leaving a group leaves the points behind. If you leave, or if the group's owner removes you, the balance stays with the group and you start again from zero. Join a group the way you would put money into a shared pot: only with people you trust.
- One group at a time. You can be in one group. After leaving one you wait 14 days before joining or starting another, so that a group cannot be used to pass a balance from one person to the next.
- Each shop's balance stays at that shop. What a group collects at one shop can only be spent at that shop, exactly as with an individual card.
- What the others see. Everyone in a group sees its balance, who collected and who spent, and one another. You are shown to the other members by the name on your account.
If the last member leaves, the group ends and the remaining balance goes with that member. The group's owner is the person who created it, or the member it has since passed to. If the owner stops using Stampomat for a long period, the group passes to its most active member who still uses Stampomat, and it can pass on again later in the same way; the privacy policy explains how that works.
Everything in sections 3, 5 and 6 still applies to a group's points. They are the shop's promise, not ours; they have no cash value; and they can expire.
8. Sale slips
Shops in points mode hand you a slip at the counter when you pay: a small printed note, or the same slip shown on the counter's screen. Its QR code carries the purchase amount and the points it earns, signed by the shop's counter device. The slip carries no personal data and is not a fiscal receipt.
Claiming. Scan the code with your phone's camera. If you are not signed in, you sign in with Google first and the slip is waiting for you afterwards. If it is your first visit to that shop, a card is created for you. The points printed on the slip land on your card straight away.
What a slip is worth. A slip pays exactly the points printed on it, even if the shop changed its rate after printing. A slip can be claimed once: the first account that scans it gets the points, and scanning your own slip again only shows you the result. Claim a slip within seven days of the purchase; after that it expires. Treat an unclaimed slip like a small voucher, and claim slips only from your own purchases (section 15).
Cancelled sales. If the sale is cancelled before you scan, the slip is void and pays nothing. If the shop cancels the sale after you claimed, it can reverse those points; the reversal is recorded with a reason and appears in your card's history (section 16).
Lost devices. If a shop reports a counter device lost or stolen, slips from that device stop being honoured. If that catches a slip of yours through no fault of your own, ask the shop or write to hello@stampomat.com and we put it right.
Points from slips are points like any other (section 6).
9. Memberships and passes
An organisation (a club, a school, an association, a team) can run memberships on Stampomat. The organisation decides who is a member, how long a membership is valid, which levels exist, what counts as attendance, what a member earns and which benefits apply. We provide the pass, the records and the technology. The organisation is responsible for the membership itself and for what it promises you.
You join through a join link or because the organisation entered you on its roster (section 4). Your pass opens from a personal link after Google sign-in. It shows your member number, status, validity, level, points and a code the organisation scans to record attendance.
The organisation's officers see your attendance, points, level and standing among members. They can adjust these records, approve or decline a join request, and end a membership under the organisation's own rules. If you think a record is wrong, write to the organisation or to us and we will check it.
When your membership ends, the pass stops working. Points and benefits tied to it end with it, under the organisation's rules.
Two things the organisation can do to your membership, and joining accepts both. Pressing the join button accepts these terms, so it accepts the two paragraphs below: the organisation can put your card on hold, and it can end your membership altogether. It can do either at any time, under its own rules, and it does not have to ask you first. Neither one touches your Stampomat account or any card you hold at another business, and no organisation can ask us to delete those. If you are not willing to give the organisation that much, do not join it.
A hold is temporary and deletes nothing. You keep your place on the roster and every point you have earned, but until the organisation lifts the hold you cannot record attendance, earn points or use a benefit. We email you when a hold starts and again when it is lifted. If the organisation typed a reason, that reason is in the email and on your card, and if you had saved the pass to Google Wallet it is sent to Google with the pass, which stays in your wallet and says PAUSED. Everything works again the moment the organisation lifts the hold.
The organisation can also remove you from its roster entirely, on its own initiative and under its own rules. It can do that whether your card is active or on hold; a hold is not a step it has to undo first. When it does, your membership, your attendance records and the private note the organisation wrote about you are deleted, and your pass at that organisation stops working straight away. If you had saved that pass to Google Wallet, we expire it at Google at once; Google lets us expire a pass, not delete it, so it stays in your wallet as an expired pass until you remove it yourself. We email you in the organisation's name to tell you it happened, and why, if the organisation gave a reason. Your Stampomat account, and your cards and memberships at every other business, are untouched. The record that you used a benefit stays with the partner and with the organisation as a count and a time, without your name. The organisation can undo the removal for 7 days; after that it is final and we cannot bring the records back. If you asked never to be enrolled by that organisation again and told the organisation so at the time, it can record that, and we then refuse to add that email address to its roster again.
A membership ending under the organisation's rules is not a removal of points under section 16. The points you earned by attending stay in the organisation's own totals with your name taken off them, so its records still add up while none of them names you.
10. Benefits from partner businesses
An organisation can name partner businesses that offer something to its members, such as a discount or a free item. The organisation decides how a benefit is checked: you show your pass and the partner looks at it, the partner scans a code on your pass that is valid for a few minutes, or you scan the partner's code with your phone. A check tells the partner only whether you are entitled to that benefit at that moment and which benefit it is. A use is recorded, with its time, when the partner confirms your code, when the partner scans it on its scanning page, or when you scan the partner's code; showing your pass records nothing. The partner can see how many times and when the benefit was used. The partner never receives your name, email address or member number from us.
If a use of a benefit shows on your pass as voided, you can dispute it from your pass. The organisation resolves the dispute.
The partner is an independent business, not part of Stampomat or of the organisation, and is bound by our Partner Terms. Partners cannot send you messages through Stampomat.
11. Google Wallet
Google Wallet is on for every organisation unless it asks us to switch it off. While it is on, you can save your membership pass to Google Wallet from the pass page. Saving is optional. The pass in the app is always the record; the Google Wallet pass is a copy that updates from it.
When you save, we send Google the pass: your name, the pass title, its status and validity, the organisation's logo and colours, and your points, level, member number and a QR code. Google shows it in Google Wallet under Google's own privacy policy and tells us when you add or remove the pass. We create the pass at Google only when you first ask to save it.
When you delete your account, or your membership ends, including when the organisation removes you from its roster, we expire the pass at Google straight away. Google lets us expire a pass, not delete it, so it stays in your wallet as an expired pass until you remove it yourself, which you can do at any time. While your membership is on hold the pass stays in your wallet and says PAUSED, and the reason the organisation gave you, if it gave one, is sent to Google with it.
12. Linking your wallet with a shop's website
Some shops have a website built with Stampomat Sites where you can order for pickup. At checkout, the site can offer to link your wallet so that the shop can award a stamp when you pick your order up.
Linking is your choice and is never needed to order. You confirm the link on a Stampomat page that tells you what is shared. The shop's website receives a random card identifier for you at that shop and the ability to add stamps to your card at that shop. It never receives your name, your email address or your activity at other shops. You can unlink at any time from your account menu; the identifier then stops working and the site can no longer add stamps.
The order itself is a contract between you and the shop under the terms on the shop's website. We are not a party to it.
13. Messages you receive, and how to stop them
Service messages are part of running your wallet: a membership invitation, a notice that a benefit is ending, a security notice, and notices about these terms.
Engagement email from us: a reminder when a reward is about to expire or has not been used, and a note when you have not visited a shop in a while. Every one has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is global: one click stops all engagement email and all shop messages, for every shop.
Messages from shops. A shop where you collect stamps or points can write to its customers through Stampomat. The shop writes the message; we send it. It can carry a gift (stamps, points or a reward) that lands on your card. You can say no to shop messages when you first sign in, and later through the unsubscribe link in any message or in your account menu, where you can also turn them back on. A shop can only write to you once you have signed in to your wallet; being on an organisation's roster is not enough. Joining an organisation works the other way round: on its join screen you choose whether to receive messages, and if you leave that box empty the organisation sends you none.
Push notifications are sent only if you switch them on in the app, and you can switch them off there or in your browser.
A partner never receives your email address from us, and a shop's messages are sent by us so that no address list leaves the platform. The businesses you join see your details as section 14 describes. We do not sell your contact details to anyone.
14. Who sees your activity
The business that runs a programme sees your activity in that programme: your name, your email address, stamps, points, purchase amounts, visits, rewards, membership records, the feedback you leave (with your name), and any private notes its staff write about you. Its counter screens show your name when you collect and, if the shop has set its staff screen to show emails, your email address. One business never sees your activity at another.
We, as the operator, can see everything on the platform in order to run it, support you and prevent fraud.
The Privacy Policy describes this in full, including how to get a copy of the notes a business keeps about you.
15. Fair play
The system works on trust at the counter. You must not:
- collect stamps or points you are not entitled to: with several accounts, for someone who is not present, by sharing or reusing codes, or by claiming a slip from a purchase that is not your own;
- take another customer's slip, or pass a slip on so that someone who did not make the purchase claims it;
- use bots, scripts or automated access, or interfere with the service, other people's accounts, a shop's counter device or a partner's link;
- use the wallet for anything unlawful.
Automated holds. Our anti-fraud checks are automated and can hold you up for a while:
- a waiting time between stamps applies per card and per device, as set by the shop;
- if more than one account collects from the same device at a shop, that device is blocked at that shop until the shop's waiting time has passed; we can lift the block on your or the shop's request;
- if you type three wrong codes in a row, code entry for stamps and for rewards is locked at every shop for a limited time, normally one hour; QR scanning keeps working.
An automated hold only delays collection. It never closes your account and never removes stamps, points or rewards on its own. Those decisions are always made by a person.
Human review. If you think a hold or a refusal is wrong, write to hello@stampomat.com or ask the shop. A person with the authority to lift it will look at it, listen to your side and answer you.
16. Corrections and removals, and their grounds
Records are corrected to fix things, not to take away what you earned fairly. A business, or we, can adjust stamps, points, rewards and membership records on these grounds only:
- a mistaken entry or a technical error;
- a breach of section 15, including a slip claimed from someone else's purchase;
- a sale that was cancelled or refunded at the counter after its slip was claimed; the shop records a reason and the reversal shows in your card's history;
- a gift attached to a shop message that was sent by mistake, as long as you have not used it;
- a head start that was obtained by breaking section 15;
- a membership ended under the organisation's own rules, as section 9 describes.
When a shop removes points it records a reason, and we give you that reason on request. For any removal you can ask us to review it. Rewards and credit codes you earned honestly stay valid, and the business must honour them.
Comments and other content you post can be removed under section 17.
17. Your content
You give us content when you leave a rating or comment for a shop, dispute a redemption, or write to us.
Rules. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive or misleading, or anything that contains another person's personal data.
Licence. You keep whatever rights you have in your content. You allow us, and the business the content concerns, to store, copy, display, export and use it to run the programme. Ratings and comments are shown to the business with your name and can be exported by it. This permission lasts as long as the content is kept. The Privacy Policy sets the retention periods.
Ideas. If you send us suggestions about Stampomat itself, we can use them freely without owing you anything.
Removal and reporting. We can remove content that breaks these rules. We tell you why and let you reply, unless the law prevents it. To report content you believe is unlawful or breaks these rules, write to hello@stampomat.com with a link or a description. We confirm receipt and tell you what we did.
18. If a business leaves Stampomat
A business can leave, be suspended or close. Its cards then stop working in your wallet. A reward it promised you remains its promise: the claim is between you and the business.
When a business's account is deleted, your stamps, points, rewards, credit codes and membership records at that business are deleted from our system at the same time. Where we can, we tell you in advance so that you can use what you have earned and download your data (section 20).
19. Availability
We run Stampomat with care and keep it available as far as we reasonably can, but we do not promise that it will run without interruption or error. Maintenance, a shop's tablet, your connection or our servers can have a bad moment. A missed stamp can be added by the cashier next time. Where a fault is on our side we fix it as soon as we reasonably can. Your legal rights in case of a service that does not work as agreed remain untouched.
We can change or discontinue features as the service develops (section 21). If we discontinue Stampomat entirely, we email you at least 30 days in advance so that you can use your rewards.
20. Ending things
You. You can stop using the wallet at any time. You can delete your account in the app (Account menu, Delete account) or by email to hello@stampomat.com from the address on your account. Before you delete, you can download your data from the same menu.
Deletion removes your account, cards, stamps, points, rewards, memberships, feedback, consents and the notes businesses kept about you. It expires your Google Wallet passes and cuts any website link. Security log rows lose the link to you and are deleted within 90 days; email delivery records are anonymised; backups roll off after 14 days. Everything is finished within 30 days. The delete your account page lists this in detail.
Withdrawal. As a consumer you can withdraw from this contract within 14 days of accepting it, without giving a reason, by writing to us or by deleting your account. You can use the model form in the annex, but you do not have to. Because you can end the contract free of charge at any time, withdrawal gives you nothing extra, but the right exists.
Us. We can suspend or close your account for a serious or repeated breach of section 15 or section 17, or on a well-founded suspicion of fraud. We tell you the reason and give you a chance to reply, before acting where possible and otherwise right after. We act without prior notice only while abuse is ongoing. Stamps, points and rewards involved in the breach can be removed under section 16. What you earned honestly stays yours until the account is closed.
Inactivity. If you have not used your wallet for a long time, we can close it after emailing you first. The period and the warning are stated in the Privacy Policy.
21. Changes to these terms
We change these terms only for a good reason: a change in the law or in guidance from an authority, a security need, a new feature or a change in how the service works, a change of provider, or to make the text clearer. Every change gets a new version date and an entry on the document versions page.
Material changes, meaning anything that affects your rights, your obligations, what you earn or how your data is handled, take effect no earlier than 30 days after we email you. Until then the old version applies. If you do not agree, you can end the contract free of charge at any time before the change takes effect or within 30 days after, by deleting your account. You do not need to do anything to accept a change, and the app does not ask you to: if you keep your account once the change takes effect, the new version applies to you from that day.
Minor changes, such as corrected typos, clearer wording, new language versions or updated contact details, take effect when published.
No change applies to the past. A change never takes away stamps, points or rewards you have already earned.
22. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible under the law for damage we cause you. Nothing in these terms limits our liability:
- for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, by us or by people we are responsible for;
- for death or personal injury;
- for breaches of data protection law;
- for anything else that cannot be limited under the consumer protection law of the country where you live.
For other damage caused by ordinary negligence, we are liable for foreseeable damage of the kind that typically occurs with a service like this, up to the greater of EUR 100 and the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Today the wallet is free, so the second figure is nil.
The goods, services, rewards and benefits you receive from a business or a partner are theirs. Claims about them go to them, and we help you find the right contact. We are not liable for a business's failure to honour what it promised.
You are responsible under the general law for damage you cause by breaking these terms. These terms do not ask you to indemnify us.
23. Our intellectual property
The Stampomat name, logo, software, design, texts and card layouts belong to us or our licensors. The logos and names of businesses belong to them. You get a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the wallet and the pass pages for their intended purpose while you have an account. You must not copy, scrape, extract or automatically access the service or its data, or reverse engineer it, beyond what the law allows regardless of these terms. Third-party software notices are on the licences page.
24. Law, complaints and disputes
Law. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Slovenia. If you live in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you have your habitual residence. The choice of Slovenian law does not take those rules away from you.
Courts. You can bring a claim against us before the courts of the country where you live or before the Slovenian courts. We can bring a claim against you only before the courts of the country where you live. Nothing here limits the courts you are entitled to by law.
Complaints. Write to hello@stampomat.com or to Ljubljana, Slovenia. We confirm receipt and answer in writing within 15 days. If the complaint concerns a business's programme, reward or benefit, we pass it on to the business and tell you.
Out-of-court resolution. We do not recognise any provider of out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes (a statement we make under Article 32 of the Slovenian Act on Out-of-Court Resolution of Consumer Disputes). The European online dispute resolution platform has been discontinued, so we no longer link to it. You can also turn to the consumer protection authority of your country; in North Macedonia that is the State Market Inspectorate.
Personal data. Complaints about personal data go to hello@stampomat.com. The Privacy Policy names the supervisory authorities you can complain to.
25. General
- These terms and the pages they link are the whole agreement between you and us about the wallet. A business's programme rules are the business's, not ours.
- If a part of these terms is invalid, the rest stays in force.
- We can transfer this contract to a company that takes over Stampomat. We tell you by email at least 30 days before, and you can end the contract if you do not agree.
- Where these terms say we will tell you something, we mean by email to the address on your account or a notice in the app.
